Michael Franklin Swimsworth I

Remember this guy? Well, he is doing very well. He has lived  and thrived in his little .5 gallon tank for a whole year, and after doing some research, I found out a minimum tank size for bettas are 2.5 gallons since they LOVE to swim!* So I got him a new tank last week!! It's the Topfin Aquascene 180 3.5 gallon. (It was on sale for $23.99 at PetSmart for the month of February if anyone is wondering)  So I'm just gonna share some pics of his adorable self...

His name plate

The tank has 8 different color settings. This one is red.

I don't know if you can see it, but a tack from my bulletin board fell in the tank!

His cave and sea shell

He's so photogenic...

Plants

Noooo why do you have to move so much?!

The rocks (I actually got them in the backyard)

Pink light.

Weeelllll.... that's all for today!

*If you are wondering, "Hey! Bettas live in filthy, muddy puddles all the time! Why should they need a nice, clean, big tank?"  Well. WILD bettas are the ones who live in Asia and in the mud puddles. These pet store fish were bred, so no, they cannot thrive in small spaces, unless you clean the tank every week.
THIS is a wild betta

THIS is a bred-to-be-a-pet betta. See the difference?
